With an ever increasing risk of piracy threats in various parts of the world, the Iridium ComCenter II Citadel Solution is the ideal solution to maintain contact with and monitor the position of your vessel in case of an incident. The Iridium Satellite Communication Transceiver, GPS Receiver and Antenna are integrated in one small compact unit to enable easy installation in the ships funnel (or other location) on board the vessel without running any antenna cables. A single cable connects the unit to the phone unit(s) and power supply, located in the Citadel/Safe-room and optionally on the Bridge. Emergency GPS position reports can be initiated with a simple short dial function from the phone unit. In addition periodic GPS position reports can be programmed for automatic transmission. Featuring a low profile 28cm antenna, the unit can be easily hidden from view. Iridium ComCenter II attracts minimum attention but provides maximum safety in communicating from the Citadel.
