Lambda Marine supplies & installs JTM-30C NDB Helicopter Beacon on Mobile Offshore Unit

Lambda Marine, a maritime ICT system integrator and Distributor, based in the UAE, recently supplied and installed a JTM-30C NDB Helicopter Beacon on board a UAE Mobile Offshore Unit.

The JTM-30C is a state-of-the-art Non-Directional Beacon, also referred to as a Helicopter Beacon, which enables helicopters to home-in on the location of a Mobile Offshore Unit, Jackup-rig, Offshore Support Vessel or any other vessel fitted with a helicopter deck. It features industry leading reliability, with 99% of JTM-30C systems proven to work without a single failure for decades. It is standard supplied with a PC-USB Interface and software to connect a local PC to the NDB system for monitoring & control functionality. When connected to the Internet via Broadband/VSAT it allows for remote maintenance and diagnostics from anywhere in the world, thus saving on expensive service technician field trips. An optional LAN-Interface is available for direct Internet access.

The JTM-30C is available in 3 different models; with 100W, 250W or 500W P.E.P. transmit power. Each model is available with a single transmitter or dual redundant transmitter. The JTM-30C fully complies with all local and international standards and regulations.
