Ocean Signal AIS ALARM
Your Audible Alert to Rescue
The AIS Alarm box is designed to ensure that the moment any AIS MOB or AIS SART signal is received a powerful 87 Decibel audible alarm is sounded ensuring everyone on the vessel is alerted to a possible MOB or a crew in need of rescue. It’s simple design, compact nature and use of NMEA 0183 means that integrating the AIS Alarm box into your AIS receiver and existing network is straight forward.
The Ocean Signal AIS Alarm has the ability to be programmed by the user with up to 30 individual MMSI numbers, multiple tones to identify the source of the AIS signal (MOB or SART) as well as being waterproof to allow for external mounting.
The AIS Alarm can be configured to respond to all AIS SARTs, all MOBs or up to 30 individually selected MOB MMSI numbers. Any combination of these options may be selected. When an alert is received, the alarm will sound and two LEDs (blue and red) either side of the Alarm legend will flash alternately. The alarm tone can be configured to be different for an alert received from an AIS SART, AIS MOB, or an individual own crew AIS MOB. The Alarm can sound one of three tones; a sliding tone rising in pitch (Sweep Up), a sliding tone descending (Sweep Down) or a warbling alarm tone (Warble). The powerful Alarm sound ensures immediate attention of your crew, since time is of essence in a MOB scenario. The Alarm can also be disabled or muted. The location of the MOB can be displayed on an (optionally) connected and compatible Chartplotter, ECS or ECDIS. The AIS Alarm box may be configured by the user to enter the up to 30 MMSI numbers to provide visual and audible alarms by downloading software. The AIS Alarm is an indispensable tool to enhance the safety of your crew!
