AIS Tuned 1.8m Ultraglass deck mount antenna. Superb performance and rugged construction make this antenna the industry standard. Flexible installation options with deck, rail, and fold down mounts available. This antenna has a unique mounting system and it can be removed and remounted at any time. The cable is attached to the mount and the antenna screws down onto the mount. This means the antenna can be removed for service, storage or replacement without pulling or cutting the cable. Mounting: You must also order a mount for this antenna. Choices are shown in the related products at the bottom of this page. You can choose from a stainless steel deck mount, adjustable folding mount for vertical faces or other angles, or a 1" rail mount. Each mount comes pre-wired with 5m of low-loss antenna cable and plugs directly into any Vesper Marine AIS transponder or AIS receiver. Note: This antenna is ideal as a dedicated AIS antenna. But if you are going to share an antenna between your VHF radio and AIS transponder using the SP160 Antenna Splitter, then we recommend the VA162 antenna designed specifically for sharing with a VHF radio.
