MarLiant ML8000AS-VG is a fully redundant Application Server for NonStop Computing in a MarLiant On-board IT network, specifically developed for the maritime industry and supported by a world-wide service network.

The server uses RAID 6 redundant drives, two Solid State and two Rotating Media, automated back-up, fail-over, fallback hardware and remote monitoring & control via satellite (optional 3G/HSDPA/WIFI) enabling centralized maintenance & management, reducing down-time and Total Cost of Ownership and increasing service levels, reliability and availability.

Resources and applications stored on a central Server(s) allows for centralized security and policy enforcement. The server uses Windows Server 2008 software to provide a Single & Multi-user Windows environment using Client-Server Technology to distribute software applications to solid state Thin-Clients via a redundant Rapid Super Ring Single-Wire Network.
