BNWAS IMO Deadline Approaching!The next IMO BNWAS deadline, valid for cargo vessels of 3,000GT and upwards constructed before July 1st, 2011, means that those vessels will have to fit BNWAS not later than the first survey after July 1st, 2012.
Lambda Marine offers shipowners two alternatives from leading BNWAS brands, the Alphatron AlphaBNWAS or the Veinland VL-BNWAS. Both systems have a special promotion price valid till July 1st, 2012.

Alpha BNWAS Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System for large vessels. The BNWAS monitors the presence and activity of the Officer of the Watch (OOW) and detects any absence on the bridge that could lead to shipping accidents due to unavailability or incapacity of the OOW in performing his duties. BNWAS is an IMO mandatory requirement to be phased in as of July 2011 for vessels of 150GT and above.
