ALPHA BNWAS is a cost effective and user-friendly Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System for SOLAS vessels of 150GT and above. Fully IMO MSC.128(75) compliant and Lloyds Register approved, this IMO mandatory system will be phased in as of July 2011. The BNWAS monitors the presence and activity of the Officer of the Watch (OOW) and detects any absence on the bridge that could lead to shipping accidents due to unavailability or incapacity of the OOW in performing his duties. The system features three alarm stages aimed at waking the OOW and/or alerting other officers/crew unless visual alarms are reset by the OOW with 3-12 minute intervals; first bridge audio alarm and second and third remote audible alarms. Tone/modulation of the alarm can be pre-configured during commissioning of the system. Remote alarms can be located optionally in the masters and/or officers cabins.
