AU9X ATEX MOB Alert Unit/Personal Locator Beacon (TEST 121.75 MHz 100mW) for testing/training purposes. When a person wearing a AU9 Personal Alert Unit (also called Personal Locator Beacon - PLB) falls overboard, a Base Unit can pick up its signal and automatically activate a MOB alarm whilst simultaneously plotting the position of the vessel using an on-board NMEA connected GPS unit. The Base Unit will show direction and range to the missing person which enables crew to easily steer back to the MOB location and track, find and recover the missing person(s).
